Film Medical has premises of over 16000 square feet in West London with thousands of medical and scientific props available for hire.

Curious Science was created by David Burns who has been involved with antique medical and scientific items since the early 1980’s. As the collection grew, so did the demand for their use in film and television. The collection is still growing and is in constant use within the film and television industry.

Carlton Jarvis

Medical simulations specialist (Mediscene)

Carlton Jarvis has many years TV & film experience and is from a clinical background. He is well qualified in many specialities, such as anaesthetics, surgery and resuscitation. This gives him an in-depth knowledge of many aspects of current and past healthcare procedures. Carlton also holds formal teaching and management qualifications in healthcare.

With over 25 years’ experience, MEDISCENE offers unrivalled ‘on set’ medical expertise to the film & television industry. We use high technology medical props, simulations and on set advice to give your production authenticity and dramatic effect.

Lizzie Dyer

Administrator & medical advisor

Lizzie is a registered nurse living in Surrey with more than 20 years’ experience working in Accident and Emergency and critical care departments across the south of England and Wales. She has worked as a prison nurse, a school nurse and in the private sector covering sports and charity events.

Alongside her NHS career, Lizzie has worked in TV and film since 2011 as a medical advisor, and as a unit nurse, for a variety of productions.

Lizzie manages the day-to-day bookings at the studio and is there to organise recces for your team and ensure you have everything you need for a successful shoot day.
